It’s Saturday as I write this article and I am working away on my desktop with one fine episode of Family Guy playing in the background. Over the years, Family Guy has been a massive part of my life. I think it’s one of the best shows out there (of course I love South Park) and I was thinking ‘wow’ – I have been watching it for over 12 years.

When I was dumped and sad, unemployed and broke – to being totally happy today with an awesome business – it’s been that ‘friend of mine’ which has been with me over the years. I have been reading lots of articles actually on people who love shows like Family Guy, South Park, American Dad and the like during highly stressful periods of their life. Be it exams, unemployment or the opposite – lots of success and work on at the same time – having a ‘Steam Outlet’ is really good and importance.

Talking more marketing & business – I have found at times I get writers block, I can get stuck in my own business and basically the ‘Creative Juices’ seemingly dry up. That is never much fun of course and I find the sooner we can get our brains going again the better. Be it taking time out, doing something we like – and in my case, Family Guy has been a perfect way of doing that.

I think the humour, whacky ideas, great characters and many ‘pointless cutaway scenes’ tend to reset my brain and get me super productive yet again.

My advice and thinking? Family Guy is awesome and tragically it’s not for everyone. If you haven’t watched it, I beg thee to give it a chance.

If it’s not for you, come up with your own ‘Family Guy’ that lets you smile, relax and recharge your brain. The more you can do that, the better you can get into your work and make it all happen.

Love you work, thank you Family Guy and of course – Stay Awesome!
