Anti PC and thought provoking – ‘Cards Against Humanity’ got me thinking about thinking!

I have enjoyed a fantastic afternoon with a group of wonderful friends (from my wife’s Mothers Group) playing the taboo game ‘Cards Against Humanity’.

This is an incredible card game that has been praised by people in the centre and the right and of course, condemned by those on the left.

It’s a brilliant game in which question is asked and you have cards with all sorts of ‘non-politically correct’ lines on there. You throw in an answer and the one that gets the most laughs wins.

If you haven’t played it, then I highly recommend it as it’s fun and forces you to really think things through.

The goal of the game is to help create an impressive joke that impresses the audience. This requires considerations as to humour, political correctness, the person judging, the relevance, the follow of the joke and many more things both within and ‘beyond the pale’.

This made me thinks of things from a Marketing & Entrepreneur viewpoint in that whenever we carry out a certain marketing activity (or plan to do so), that we really must think through what we are planning and how it is going to play out.

I got into lots of trouble once as do many others by not thinking when it comes to our Marketing. I have known probably hundreds of people who have stayed in networking groups that aren’t making them money, wasting money on Social Media, looking after clients who aren’t paying them and mixing with unsuccessful poor people something expecting to ‘win big’.

These behaviours come because of NOT thinking things through. All we must do is just sit back and think. As we do this and ask ourselves hard questions, we can see not only the errors in our own behaviour; but see where the true opportunities for success may lie for us.

My advice and thinking? Don’t just ‘do stuff’ because it’s what you done or everyone else is doing it. Really think about what you are doing and what you plan and see if it makes realistic sense. If it doesn’t, it’s time to shake up your gameplay.

Talking to the positive in the case that it does; it gives you confidence to go much harder and go for what you want in style.

Thinking is everything as it paves the way for massive results.

Love your work, thank you for the read and get yourself ‘Cards Against Humanity!’ – it’s so worth it.
