I have seen some of the most ‘interesting’ ads out there in the business landscape. They aren’t so much directly lying in the strategy they are talking; but they are really over inflating the success one can get from it.

There have been ads out there saying you can make $10,000 / day from Facebook Advertising, get dozens of clients with a single webinar or run workshops where you make $50,000 that morning for just 30 minutes of work.

Yes, I am sure you have seen them and although some do make this amount of money from these strategies; the ads have totally left out the whole ‘Marketing Ecosystem’ out there.

For example, I LOVE Live Webinars. They are the best. However they don’t fill themselves, they don’t run themselves and you need INCREDIBLE content with a strong strategy for any hope of conversion. Also too, as this strategy lacks the ‘face to face’ interaction, it can be much weaker than say running a Live Workshop.

The point I am making here (that I talk about every week) is moving beyond ‘One Trick Pony’ or ‘Silver Bullet’ thinking in that this one strategy will be the saviour of my business. Of course don’t get me wrong, Live Workshops & Webinars are a core part of my growth strategy in 2017; but without Email Marketing, Facebook, Business Networking, LinkedIn and all these other strategies they wouldn’t deliver the way I need them too.

‘Marketing Ecosystem’ is a term I educate on in the sense that yes you can make incredible money and get success out of one strategy; however it needs to fit in well do your whole Ecosystem. For example, I run 2 x Live Events and month and sometimes I have made $10,000 in them from the clients I gain (which is great).

However it’s not just because of the Live Event. It’s because of everything coming together in its own unique way.

My advice and thinking? Think about your total marketing mix and ‘basket of strategies’ and think about how they all interact together and support each other. Facebook by itself does nothing without a good product and an event needs to be filled. The more we consider things from this ‘ecosystem’ viewpoint the better it places us for incredible success.

Think it through, use the total mix and of course go and WIN BIG for me.

Love your work, thank you for the read and stay awesome friends!

P.S. Mr Ed obviously was not a pony and he was a horse with many tricks. However, he was awesome and him coming to me in a dream inspired this article.
