Truth be known that Mexican is one of my favourite cuisines ever.
Tacos, Burritos, Salsa, Corn Chips, Avocado, Cheese, Chilli, Jalapenos and more; it’s all pure love to me. As a proud vegetarian too, it’s great if you are trying to avoid meat and all that type of thing.
What I have found is that Mexican has been great in helping me lose weight. I have been able to use Mexican meals to replace other unhealthy meals and I love it. One of my secret weapons in weight loss are the “Mexican Bowls” or “Naked Burritos”. As it sounds, it’s basically the great beans, salad, sour crème, guacamole and more without the high energy corn chips or break.
The Mexican Bowls are great for me in that they aren’t that high in calories, BUT they leave you feeling full, satisfied and gives you the energy to live out the rest of the day.
I used to eat big burger meals or Fish and Chips (not good), and found the Mexican Bowls are the perfect replacement.
My advice and thinking? If you are trying to lose some pounds and the like, go more Mexican Bowls. I really like them, and it’s helped me eat healthier and slimmer the ‘right’ way.
