There is only so much room in your mind for people. Remove the bad ones and keep the great ones!

Have anyone ever got stuck in your head? Did someone rile you up and they just made this impact on you that is hard to shake?

It’s most certainly happened to me many times in that talking to negative; let’s say someone did something bad to me I can be thinking about it for a long time. It can sap one’s energy and the reality is that we only have so much ‘space’ in our minds and if we allocate it with the wrong things it’s hard to focus on what matters.

I was with an awesome client and friend recently who had some bad things done to them in business and it knocked them out of the zone. It quite impacted them and in this case it was occupying up so much of their minds it was hard for them.

Talking to the positive; it is actually quite easy and critical to purge the wrong people from your mind. One metaphor for understanding this is the ‘Boardroom Concept’.

That is, your mind is a boardroom table with limited spots. Of all the people sitting at the table ‘mentally’, you want the right people there. Loved ones, great clients, friends, family and the like truly matter here and you don’t want someone dodgy.

After all, if someone is really bad then why on earth do you want them at your mental table? I think it’s only human nature for that to happen and when the wrong person has got into your head this is what I like to call ‘Wrong Think’. It’s wrong to think about these type of people and it’s critical to purge these thoughts from your mind.

The purging comes from be conscious about it and making your own internal voice change its tune and move on from it. You may do it yourself, or even speak to a Coach or someone in the know to help make this happen.

My advice and thinking? Make sure the right people are in your head so your energies and results go towards them. Bad people must be purged from one’s mind to maintain a state of purity, focus and staying in the zone.

I do this quite actively if someone ‘wrong’ sneaks into my mind. Move them on and move them on fast.

Love your work, thanks for the read and stay awesome!

P.S. Thank you Star Wars Commander for the great image!
