Being ‘Awesome’ involves being different and not everyone will like that. But some people so will!

Hello Awesome People!

It’s been an amazing Birthday for me. At the “Young” age of 37 I have been blessed with a very special person in my life, a new start for me, hundreds of kind Birthday messages and I pinch myself for the luck I have in my life these days.

In all of this, it has me reflecting on my life today and my life yesterday. To be straight up with you, I have really wasted some big parts of my life. I don’t just mean “Going Broke” when I was 29, 30 – it was before that. It was all the times where I would second guess myself, hang out with people pulling me back or worse – not push my own potential because I was “Worried” of what other people would think.

As I enjoyed my birthday today, I actually went through a wide range of emotions. Ones from pure joy of planning my future with someone special and also moments of disappointment and frustration. The negative emotions were not directed at me today (in fact, I am pretty happy with my performance today) – but it was more regret and remorse for the days of me “Being Average”.

Here is the consensus and reality I have come to in my own understanding of this topic. If you are “In Line” with everyone else, doing what you are told and not doing anything different – why would you get more of a result than anyone else? It’s really unlikely that you will and the truth of the matter is that if you aren’t playing a different more profitable game to everyone else around you, it’s very illogical to expect anything more than them.

When I started my business 3 to 4 years ago I was thinking on different lines and at the start of the year – I really started standing out with my own thinking. Some people really didn’t like that and tried to take me down (they failed which is awesome) and for me – the more I stand out with my own thinking the better I become.

In short discussing my mistake, why was I average and got nothing? It was because I did what some other people wanted me to do. Their destructive guidance resulted in me losing some years of my life which it wasn’t till much later I woke up too.

My advice and thinking? If you are reading this article and *you know* you have been guilty of what I have done, now is the time to start pushing yourself in a new direction. Get out of your comfort zone, push yourself harder and talking Marketing – come up with a strong compelling message and go hard with it.
