I met with a wonderful client in a very trendy part of Sydney. She is a successful emerging Entrepreneur who is doing some incredible work and in a different world; we would easily be pals hanging out at university.
We have incredible dynamic conversations in which I must draw wide range of experiences to best look after he and help keep her on the successful track.
As we spoke, she asked me a great question about wanting to do some financial modelling to support her growth. I am quite buff of modelling, however before you can do anything like that you need to work out how you are going to succeed.
- Are you going to be an Online Player with tons of small clients?
- Are you going to be a Limited Special Player with a few high value clients?
- Are you going to be a bit of both?
- To what degree of both?
This questioning can go on to give the most calm and relaxed person a headache and it comes down to making some key decisions for us. Success takes on many forms and what I think is wonderful, may certainly not be what you think is wonderful.
For example, I hate wearing suits and I LOVE ONLINE. For me, my $97 / month Awesome Marketing Vault online mentoring is my primary focus.
However, some people are the opposite and hate online BUT LOVE SUITS. That is wonderful! Go and get 10 x Corporate Clients on $5k each and enjoy yourself.
Then based on this statement your whole Marketing approach will totally differ to target those respective people. There are so many ways you can go about this.
Do you master live workshops? Facebook? LinkedIn? Email Marketing? Online Courses? Mastermind? Seminars? If so then, to which degree of each?
My advice and thinking? There are lots of questions to ask and only you can truly answer them. Sure you can ask for advice, but it ultimately comes down to what floats your boat and suits what you to achieve in your business and life.
Think it through very carefully and then structure your Marketing and growth around that to suit what you really want.
The last thing you want to do is create a business you don’t like. The first thing you want to do is create a business that energises you, so you never ‘work’ another day in your life.
Love your work, thanks for the read and stay awesome friends!
