Hello Awesome People!

When it comes to Small Business Sales & Marketing, I think it’s Critical to be Out and About. Unless you are a “Pure Online Marketer” (which is incredibly rare especially when people are Starting Out), chances are you need to be Out There Showing Off your Assets, Meeting People and Squeezing Palms to Build your Retutation, Influence and pick up new High Value Clients.

I was lucky to meet with an Old Colleague today who I have lots of Respect for. She is a brilliant Photographer (and I can’t tell you that she is the awesome Yve Lavine who did some great work for a client recently x x lol).

We met quite early in our stages of business some years ago and we caught up and reflected how in a way many things have come “Full Circle”. We have seen Plenty Come & Go in the last three years as we Shared Stories & Adventures. The people who have stayed, didn’t surprise us and the people that have “Gone” didn’t Surprise us either. Quite a few people we used to know had actually Quit their Start Ups and either have left the country or went back to being an Employee, withdrawing from the Small Business Space.

As Yve and I spoke in more detail, we reflected on the people that have Made It and stood the Test of Time. We both Proudly could accept that title and one of the key reasons is that we both Understood the Importance of being “Out & About”.

That is, if I can think of anyone in Business who is successful (including my 7-Figure clients) they are generally “A People’s Person” and are those that are happy to be in the Public Eye, you see at plenty of Different Events, Gatherings, Avid Networkers who meet lots of people and the like.

Why is this the case? Well, I think it’s as Simple in that they know Hundreds (if not thousands) of people, are always in the Back of people’s Minds and are Continually Meeting new people which Increases the odds of picking up Clients. That makes Perfect Sense right?

Let’s say you have a 20% chance of getting a Client for every Networking Event you attend. If you went to 10 Events and then the Probability would be to pick up 2 of them, let’s say (touch wood). You won’t always pick up Clients when you “Network”, but the more you do it, your Network of referrals will grow, and the better things will get. I can talk personally on this one too! The more I am out there, the more Clients I get! whether Directly or Indirectly, getting out there definitely helps.

My advice and thinking? As per Yve’s thinking, if you are in Small Business be “Out & About” as much as you can. It’s fun, enjoyable and a very profitable use of one time. Meet heaps of people, so you know you will get enough Clients in powerhouse Profitable Style!
