Opening Outlook in Microsoft 365 makes me feel good and keeps me well organised!

The powerhouse Leadership & HR Mentor Christie Wilson, watched my Facebook Live with my Mentor Stefan Thomas this morning.

It was great in that Stefan (being the smart guy he is), asked lots of questions as to the detail as to how I run my day to day in business. One question I get asked often and by Christie was how to do I manage my contacts, data, sales, leads and the like.

I personally love using Microsoft 365 and its suite of services to manage my data. I have done lots of trial work with top CRMs including ActiveCampaign, Insightly, ZohoCRM, HubSpot and more.

Whilst I LOVE these programs, for that I am doing, the default Microsoft 365 hub suits me just beautifully. It’s fast, powerful, I keep track of things and here are some of my favourite moves that just work for me:

  • The Calendar: This is everything to me in that it syncs with my PC, Tablet and Phones so I know what is going on. This includes reoccurring appointments, things I must do weekly and more.
  • Email Directories: I have a stack of directories where I keep leads, people I am speaking too and more. I often move items out of my ‘Sent’ email to my Inbox, so I know what’s happening and I leave them in other directories that work.
  • Excel Spreadsheets: I use these for Premium Events, including my call list and people to keep an eye on.
  • Contacts: I love it! I take the time to ad everyone’s details correctly.

The CRM side of Microsoft 365 has worked just great for my business and I love it on many levels.

My advice and thinking? Try them all and find what works for you and your business. Some people prefer using the dedicated CRM programs, with many (including me) leaning towards the speed & simplicity of using Microsoft services.

Love your work, enjoy, and thank you Christie Wilson for the great question. You rock!
