Loving to Eat is a great thing and this wall art got me thinking today. Perhaps at times it isn’t so great?

I love eating! It has been a source of massive pleasure, pain, enjoyment, good times and bad times in my life.  I won’t be ashamed of this to say that I have been a “Comfort” eater at times.  This isn’t of course a very good thing in that I have found historically that when I am doing massive hours, seeing lots of clients lets say, got exams on or whatever the case may be COMFORT EATING can be a massive issue for me.

As time passes, it’s becoming more manageable for me which is great (hence the gym sessions help) and bringing it back to more Business, Sales & Marketing – “Eating” can be a massive issue from several perspectives.

For me, I have really “Overeaten” at times of:

– Very long days (such as today, I have been working from 7AM to 10PM).

– Great Wins and Fun Times (such as the weekend!).

– When I am just tired and I “Eat Food” to stay away.

In the older days say a year or two ago, when I wasn’t that busy it was barely a problem.  I would just hit the gym, go for massive walks or the like.  For my life today, things are quite different in terms of the workload and expectations on me.

What I have found personally not just for myself, but many of the wonderful people I work with is that one must be mindful of “What they Eat” and always keep an eye out to make sure that “Comfort Eating” doesn’t tend to take over which can create sorts of issues.

My biggest issues are when my Jeans don’t fit! Belt Sizes Go Up! My Phone + Car Keys Barely Fit in my Pocket and Annoying things like that.

My own learnings and advice in this area have really been from several perspectives.  Firstly, one must “Structure” exercise as part of one’s working day.  If you don’t it won’t happen! Secondly, you are going to overeat / drink at times and that is great – BUT balance it out.  Thirdly, always be conscious of what you are eating and focus on being healthy as much as possible!

I am hardly pretending to be a fitness or Health Person and coming at this from a flat out successful Sales & Marketing Mentor who at times has lived on Cafe Food (I am not kidding) these tips have really helped me out.  Watch what goes in your mouth and work out / sport away!

Love your work and thanks for the read!
