I know what it’s like to not feel like doing something. Getting up today was a Marathon for me. I woke up with a real sore back, I didn’t sleep a wink the night before – and when the alarm hit 5:30AM I was struggling to get up.

There was an awesome networking event this morning which is only every month and I just had to make it – because if I missed out, it would have totally sucked and been a lost opportunity.

As I wrestled with my humanity this morning, I made myself get up and it became a massive test of my own self. The event was amazing! I met some great people and I also picked up a very high value potential lead and even have a meeting booked for next week.

Whether I pick up this client or not – it’s a high value opportunity that if I gave into my own fatigue this morning it never would have happened. Over the years too, I have had countless examples of attending Networking / Information Events where I ended up getting a major client – that I almost piked out of going too.

As this happened and I reflected on what happened, it reminded me as to the importance of “Endurance” in business & marketing. My take on endurance is basically being able to make yourself do stuff when you really don’t feel like it.

Be it your tired and you are making yourself do something, you are in pain and you keep going (which more described me today) or a more common example – you are scared as hell and you push yourself.

Today was a potent reminder as to this in that endurance is a profitable trait. My take and thinking on this one?

Endurance Rocks – don’t give into weakness. Make yourself do it.

Thanks for the read, love your thoughts and of course – Stay Awesome!
