Coming back to ‘Normal’ after Mini-Freakouts and Panic Sessions!

I think its very normal in business today to have mini-freak out sessions! The trick I have found is knowing how to get yourself ‘back in the zone!’

I bet if you are reading this article, you know exactly what I am talking about! At least once (maybe twice) per month I will have a good “Meltdown / Panic Attack / Freak Out Session”.  I think is quite good actually, when I started my business I was about 3 x times per week!

For the awesome many thousands I have worked with, many have had exactly the same similar type of thing.  Be it you lose a big client, you say don’t get new clients for a few weeks, you are facing off a new project, some people are trashing / defaming you in the marketplace / playing nasty politics or whatever, life in the modern world is never short of reasons that can make anyone freak out.

Even though I wouldn’t consider my last few days “Freak Out Worthy”, at times the uncertainty of what lies ahead can push me at least up to edge.  I find if you aren’t careful in directing your thoughts, it can go very unproductive and focus on just really silly lame things.  Be it what people think about you, what if I lose XYZ, what if XYZ doesn’t work and what if I fail and really poor quality thinking like that.

A little bit of this negative thinking in the wrong place, can easily start a downward spiral which leads to a FREAK OUT SESSION!

Sure, everyone armchair “know it all” can say you shouldn’t have got yourself into that corner mentally, but in the real world it happens and you got to get yourself back in the zone! I think everyone is different and we all have things that get us back in the zone and feeling good!

For me personally it can be a great video game, a walk, gym work or even a bit of South Park / Family Guy.  For my lovely Jude who is sitting across from me she says “Family Wrestles, Petting Cats, Cup of Tea & a Good Chat with a girlfriend or Bubble Baths with Smelly Stuff” gets her back in the zone.

Especially if you are in business, life is full of reasons that can unsettle us at times and it’s great to know in advance how to get back in the zone so you feel good about life and are super productive.

My advice? Even if you freak-out once a day, good on you! It means you are pushing yourself and it’s a great time to figure out how you can get yourself back in the zone. That way you will feel good about your life, your business and you can enjoy things in powerhouse style.
