In many instances YES.  Talking about my own Small Business Management and Marketing Adventures – I remember that when I started out I was very shy of picking up the phone, let alone even asking for the sale.

I am the first person to say that Online Marketing, Facebook, LinkedIn, Blogging, Having Pretty Websites, Nice Business Cards and the like are all important components of helping someone build a Brilliant and Profitable Business.  I talk about this in my Fab Online Course “The Awesome Marketing Vault” so click here to learn more!

BUT all too of often many otherwise successful Entrepreneurs can fall into the trap of hiding about this and not actually selling.  If you think about it, everything is Online these days and this is good for us.  People aren’t anywhere near as good on the phone anymore and Face to Face Selling in some parts of the world is becoming a dying art.

So what better way to get More Business and Profitable Clients! Yes, picking up the phone and speaking to people considering your services, following up quotes, telling people about why you are brilliant and of course asking for the sale can put us outside of our comfort zones.  However, here is my business case for why the Phone can often be far more effective than just emailing people:

1) It Works Better: You are conveying more information and people take more notice, so you conversion rate will go up.

2) It Can Be Faster Than Writing a Silly Email: Just call people up to discuss things.

3) People Appreciate It: Makes people feel better and that you care.

4) Questions get Answered in Real Time: No messing about, answer complex questions on the spot and get your sale in faster.

5) Just Try it: Seriously Just Try It.

Since using the Phone more in my own business my Sales Success just Skyrocketed.  I have recommended this strategy to hundreds of people too and they love it.  Sure, it may take some getting used to, but please: use the phone more and sell for maximum success!
