My thinking, business and life has changed “a whle lwat” over 2015 with some dark events and many awesome events coming my way.

It’s certainly got me tougher, more street wise and highly disciplined in that it’s challenged me to grow big time.

For me especially, I have become more sensitive to the speed at which things move these days. I don’t just mean technology (e.g. as LinkedIn and Facebook change daily) but life in general.

Keeping up with the events, creating new events, exploring new places, staying on the edge of what I do have all been key things which have driven me to explore more cool things and improving my knowledge.

When it comes to our businesses, we have to be very fast moving and very dynamic I find in terms of cutting losers, driving winners and being open to new ideas. I am spending more and more time (as per the old cliche) working “on the business” instead of in it and during this time I am forever challenging my thinking and positively searching for new ideas.

When you work “on the business”, I think it boils down to two things:

– Cutting losers / dropping what isn’t working.

– Driving winners / investing more into what is working.

This sounds quite logical and to me the first thing is being sensitive and knowing what’s working and what just simply isn’t.

For me, I have found that smaller networking events, running my own networking events and direct Facebook Click Ads haven’t worked well.

Conversely, going to networking events with larger businesses, running my own networking events and Facebook Video has been a total hit.

Hence, I have rejigged everything to keep it profitable and productive.

My advice and thinking on this one? Be sensitive to what’s working, what’s not and be ready to change things on the fly. The more agile you are, the more awesome life shall be.

Love your work, thanks for the read & stay awesome!
