Hello Awesome People!

I have at times fallen Prey to the dangerous Psychological Condition of “Shiny New Object Syndrome” which doesn’t only mean reducing the size of one’s brain – it makes men’s hip pockets and ladies handbags much Lighter.

This is basically when we get obsessed with new Toys, Ideas, Innovation and pay little attention to the Realities of what the Business actually Requires to grow and be Profitable.

To hang out my dirty laundry, I have definitely been guilty of doing that in the past. At a time in my Business I had been running around attending Events, Workshops and the like whilst paying very little attention to my own Marketing & Automation.

This is actually quite bad, in that if you are working away IN the Business and Not actually working ON Improving it, you can be working to the ripe old age of 200+ and still be stuck in the same spot.

Talking to other cases of Brilliant People walking into this trap – I have seen those busy buying accounting Systems to Process Clients they don’t even have yet, updating Websites that have no Visitors, and those that are buying Office Equipment that would barely get used even 2 hours a day can eventually be Detrimental to you and your Business.

My own mistakes, my Awesome Clients’ mistakes and talking to the Positive of “Key Learnings” have reminded me to keep the Fundamentals of the Business perfectly in mind. It’s critical to Focus on what is driving the Business, that Clients are looked after, Automation is being Built, and you aren’t buying “New Stuff” because it’s Fun – it actually has a very justifiable Benefit to your Business.

My advice and “learnings” from this one? Keep a really Close Eye on what you are doing and think “Is this the most Profitable use of my Time?”. If you are about to Invest in something or go in a new Direction, ask yourself “Do I really need this Right Now?”. I find these two questions to be great filters for me, to control my Thinking, in order to stay Focused on what really Matters.

For me, my Priorities are looking after my Clients and secondly – driving Automation, Residual Income and helping more People.
