Ciaran Keating and Myself (Edward Zia) taking a Selfie Photo in a very dark restaurant. Again, you shouldn’t be reading this article right now – SELL, SELL, SELL!

You are a such a rebel and if you are reading this, then well done for ignoring me telling you what to do! You are obviously one tight entrepreneur and love your work.   But this post wasn’t actually some type of manipulative ploy to get you to click this link.

We actually did mean it! Tonight (a few hours before writing this article) I was very lucky to have a great working Dinner with the fine Ciaran Keating of East Software.  He is the fine Business Automation Programmer I love working with and we were both talking about the importance of “Face to Face Selling” and who everyone (including me at times) likes to hide behind Social Media, Updating Website and any reasonable excuse to get out of picking up the phone or speaking to people Face to Face.

In this fine reflection, we both agreed in a sense of reasonable jest it would be great for me to do blog explaining this point – and even picking on my own articles as a “Waste of Time” where you should be busy selling.

As of course I highly value my fine article writing, Ciaran does certainly speak a sense of truth in that you need to be SELLING, SELLING and SELLING for maximum awesome success in business.

I have blood on me hands on this one too – so please don’t think I am preaching, but I think many of us as Small Business Owners & Entrepreneurs can get too obsessed with things that don’t matter.  Colour on websites, type-sets on business cards and excessive administration are all “Great” excuses not to be out selling.

Why do we do that? Selling can be quite hard at times, but it’s very rewarding! The other day as part of one of our upcoming workshops (90 Sales & Profitable Sales & Marketing) I decided to ring up 50 awesome people, invite them along and say hello!

3 hours on my phone, got 2 x Business Appointments booked in and got 5 x people on the edge.  All in 3 hours of work!

It was brilliant and I got alot out of it.  After all, Sales is one of our highest paid functions – but it can be a bit daunting, especially when you are starting out.

My advice and learning from Awesome Ciaran! Stop reading my silly articles right and SELL, SELL, SELL Awesome People!
