Shallow Graves and Evil Unethical Scammers

To All the People Who Scammed Me – Suck on this.  How’s that for Positive Thinking you whackers?

Now, before you ready this – please don’t think I am a “Cowboy” or some fruit cake that just does things based on how I “Feel” in that moment.  “Gut Feel” or more precisely “Intuition” isn’t always 100% Accurate, but in my own experience – it’s 80%+ accurate.

I have gone against my Gut Feel at times very successfully, but I have learnt the hard way – if my “Gut Feel Alarm” is going off, I better pay some attention to it.

Recently I had a very strange request from a Referral from a Referral to help out on a Project they were working on.  It was very odd and the person who needed my help was just “Acting” like my best friend (even though I have known them for about 10 minutes).

As you know I have had cultists and all those lovely people have shots at me – so I am very wary about “Instant Friends”.  So I was careful, went against my gut feel and helped this person.

Cutting a long story short, I worked hard for this person – delivered everything they wanted and then they didn’t want to pay me.  That is – they made up this lie justifying why they can weasel out of it.

I then went and told a few people who met this person and they laughed at me.   In fact, one of my friends picked up that this Rat-Bag was trying the same sort of thing on them.  It did knock me around a bit, but now I look back and almost snigger at the event.

The reality is that there are Evil Rat-Bags in this world.  The Positive Thinking Wankers / Dickheads out there make out “The World is such a Nice Place” – but seem to forget that over 50% of the world’s population lives in poverty.  Whenever I point these facts out, the wacko’s just put me down or say I am “Out of Sync with the Universal Energy”.

Well to you Positive Thinking idiots (who usually have no money) – I know some very powerful people that think you are completely out of touch.  The most successful people I have met are “Positive Realists”.  That is, they want the best out of a situation, but accept at the same time there is alot of negativity in the world one must navigate through.

So my advice from this painful experience? Your Gut Feel isn’t always right, but a good indicator! And if someone screws you in business like I got nailed a few weeks ago – move on! Not worth it.

If anything, hopefully those Negative Evil Scammers will one day cross the wrong person – and wind up pushing up daises somewhere in the middle of a park.  Boy I wish I learnt this 20 years ago!

Hot Girls, Pyramid Schemes and Old Tricks

You are just interested in "Me" right?

At a recent Networking Group I was at, a friend of mine who ran the group got into a lot of trouble!

The Networking Group was basically subverted by a group of people from a “Pyramid Selling” type of organization that primarily uses “Deception” as a way of luring you to Seminar or a Coffee Chat.

Quite a few Multi-Level-Marketing Companies are quite good and very noble (e.g. Send Out Cards, Neways, Herbal Life etc) in my experience – but some of them really like to screw you into a meeting.

I had a very funny one.  Well several, but I had this very tall and attractive “Asian” girl show a lot of interest in me at a Networking Event.  I didn’t pay much attention to it, but then about 8:30PM the next night, she was on the phone to me inviting me to an “Event of Like-Minded” individuals.

Hmm interesting, I instantly asked so what is this about and she replied “It’s not Dodgy”.  After more questioning, I eventually found out it’s “That Scheme” which we all have had lots of trouble with!

On another funny note – at a more recent workshop, this girl I met wanted to meet for an innocent coffee chat.  She strangely wanted me to bring my wife & meet with her husband as well to talk about business goals and such.

Hmm, when I asked she kept dodging, and yep! It turned out to be the “Scheme” we all know about!

So please be really careful out there – although lots of time has passed, you get lots of people using old tricks to try and trick you into seminars and stuff.

Your time is your gold and don’t let any suckers like this push you around!

Boy, I wish I learnt this 20 years ago! 🙂

Positive Thinkers: Why do they Feel more Pain and Earn Less?

To All "Positive Thinkers" who rip off poor people - I can't wait till you are taken out with the Trash!

To All “Positive Thinkers” who rip off poor people – I can’t wait till you are taken out with the Trash!

If you are like me and had the privilege of working with and knowing wealthy people (i.e. not people on $50K / Year Pretending, but people of say at least $5M+) – you would already know that “Extreme Positive Thinking” really only has a place for scammers, people who don’t like to face facts or those who really use it as their “Religion” to help them sleep well at night.

Now my own Business is healthy and things are actually playing out well for me (Finally Thank God!) – I have really been working with two types of people when you boil it all down.

– Those that are having tough times – but pushing through and making it.

– Those that are having tough times – but are spinning around in circles and failing.

The alarming trend which I have confirmed (yet again) is that the people who are making it – are very similar to the people I know who are worth at least $5M.  Now, I know you may be thinking “Jesus Christ Ed, you stupid Capitalist, is it just about money?”.

My response to that is – of course it isn’t just about money, but come on and work with me here – Money is one of the top drivers of our satisfaction in our society (if you have ever been unemployed like I was for a while and you pay your rent with your Growing Credit Card Debt – trust me! You learn how powerful money is!).

The reality is that when someone is over-engaged in “Positive Thinking” and are saying things like “Oh it’s easy”, “Money flows to me in rivers of abundance”, “Money Grows on Trees like Apples”, “If i just visualize happy things Natalie Portman or Sam Worthington will visit me in my bedroom at 2AM etc” – they really aren’t grasping reality.

Where it get’s worse for these poor people, is that instead of just accepting reality in that “Well it’s tough – but things are going to get easier” and solving them problems and going for it – it encourages one to become inactive.

And here is the big thing, everyone who I know that has an unhealthy obsession with “Positive Thinking” – they aren’t the ones making the big bucks.  They are usually quite Good-Natured, Loving and Kind – but very poor, pressured and frustrated people.

If you were like me once and got sucked into this “Positive Thinking Fad” – it’s okay and don’t panic! Just start undoing the brain-washing all the Positive Thinking Cults have forced on you.  And if you are paying some “Guru” tons of money to help you -please stop it!

Just go down to your local Church, Mosque, Synagogue, Buddist Temple or Liberal Party office and ask for some free advice.  As for you stupid, pathetic worms who are using “Positive Thinking” to rip poor honest people off with your schemes and cults – I sincerely hope you twist your ankle going down the stairs today! You people are Garbage! And I hope you get taken out to the curb!

Positive Thinking Cults & Your Hip Pocket / Purse

Only the Pure of Heart (And Full of Money) can join our Elite Group!

Only the Pure of Heart (And Full of Money) can join our Elite Group!

There are a good stack of Cults, Fanatics and of course – good old Rip Off Merchants out there that totally love and get “Good Mileage” out of Positive Thinking.

Without naming any organizations in particular (in knowing how litigious these organizations can be), throughout my life I have been caught up in a organizations that are actually “Cults”. However, as they know they are “Cults” they really work hard in their marketing and the pitches used by their “Cultists” to make out that:

– We aren’t a cult any more than your local Footy Team or Corporate Workplace.
– We had some bad history, but that was years ago – we have changed (yes, sure you have).
– We are a “Success Cult” – therefore better than society.
– Society is “Bad” & “Evil” and because you are with us, you are “Better” than everyone else.

And of course, if people aren’t willing to join the “Cult”, they are either:

– Not Very intelligent.
– “Losers” (I have heard this used recently).
– Aren’t serious about their lives.
– Just need more convincing.

This is extremely scary! Not just MLM’s but also other organizations use this “Cultist” mentality to really brainwash their followers.

This is where you have to be very careful in Life & Business – you are walking along, minding your own business then someone approaches with a “Great Business Idea” or a “Radical Way of Improving your Life”.  I bet this has already happenned to you, but if it hasn’t my god watch out! Chances are they are trying to enlist you in their own cult!

In my early 20’s (very briefly) I got sucked into a very dangerous “Positive Thinking” type of cult that was all supposedly to improve peoples lives. It costed a lot of money and the cults where these “Brain Washing” sessions where people where forced (often against their will) to break-through problems in their lives. In fact, where it got very dangerous was that everyone had to “Bring Guests” along – because you “Love them” and care for them. They even framed it as “The people who bring more people, are more generous and caring people!”

I got out of this cult pretty quickly, but what was scary (in finding out afterwards) was that this organization has had a bad history of really hurting people and causing them to screw up their lives. Of course, they take “No Responsibility” for this, get you to sign away your rights – and even go as far to say that people who get a Negative Outcome from what they are doing – are actually “Not Doing it Correctly”.

Be it you got your own business or starting out – I really encourage you to be careful in this day and age! There are lots of desperate people out there (even with good intentions) that are sucked into these things and may try the stuff on you.

Watch yourself – it’s a Jungle out there! A Jungle full of “Positive Thinking Cults!”

Networking: Why Do Unethical & Dodgy Bastards Love It?

You are Creating Wealth and “Passive Cashflow” – For someone else if you aren’t careful Awesome Friends!

“Networking” or building a “Network” as a concept has really been tarnished thanks to many Scams, Dodgy Pyramid / Multi-Level-Marketing Schemes and generally unethical sharks that see Networking Events or Groups as a means of ripping people off.  Quite often with promises of “Financial Freedom”, “Passive Cash-Flow”, Buying Your “Ferrari”, being a “Playboy Millionaire” or working just 5 hours a week on a beach.  All cleverly designed words which are used to completely manipulate you.

I think this actually quite sad in the respect that “Networking” in it’s true sense is actually a very powerful means of Expanding Ones Network, Finding Great New Suppliers, Learning more about how the World Works and in particular – getting yourself a great support community especially if you are new in your own small business.

I have learnt and proven to myself that “Effective Networking” is where you:

– Go Out There – Make Friends with Like-Minded Individuals and do Business with Each Other.

That is, you may use some services, refer them business, accept referrals from them and support from building a community.

BUT OH NO.  The Dodgy Scammers, Rip-Off Merchants and Unethical People from Multi-Level-Marketing schemes as usual – are trying to destroy the quality of our lives and take our hard earned cash so they can become “Financially Free” and “Enjoy their Passive Cash-Flow”.

Now please don’t get me wrong, there are some Multi-Level-Marketing type of Programs out there such as Nutri-Metics & Herbal-Life which I have a lot of respect for.  Like many things, there are many of us that are doing our best to get by – but then, we get Scammers that thrive from stealing time and money from people like us.

One of my very good friends (a Fellow Business Coach) gave me a funny phone call the other day.  When I first started out in Coaching I went to a “Speed Networking” event. You meet 40+ people in these events.  What happened to my poor friend that he got “Sucked” into a certain Pyramid Selling / MLM Scheme which I bet people have tried to suck you into before.

And funnily enough, he got conned by a “Potential Client” who booked him into one of their upcoming MLM / Pyramid Seminars coming up under the guise of wanting a “Free Coaching Session”.  When I spoke to my friend (as he suspected it sounded “Fishy”) and we compared notes and it was the same person who used the same tricks (on me) to con them into going into Dodgy Seminar which promises “Financial Freedom”, “Passive Cashflow” and the like.

We we both found out it was the same rat that wasted my time and tried to rip me off – I was able to let him know so he could get out of it!  I saved him 5 hours of his life, but what is sad is that many others from Networking Events are getting nailed and conned into going to these seminars!

So Networking itself is a great thing, whether you do it “Formally” through Networking Groups or you do it “Informally” through building your Customer Base and working with other people – it’s very powerful especially if you work in Small to Medium type of businesses.

However, myself and my friend have learnt the hard way – you get some Dodgy Bastards out there that use Networking (especially Networking events) as a useful opportunity to prey on “New Victims”.  This so called “Positive Thinking” is designed to make them rich – at your unfortunate expense? (As if they care).

Networking is great for people like ourselves who are ethical, good-natured and have genuine desire to help other people.  Unfortunately, you got to watch out for people who want to take away all your hard earned cash – “Be Careful out there it’s a Jungle!”.

Why are “Positive Thinkers” Always Trying to Take My Cash?

At least this Cowgirl / Hustler is Honest About it!

“Positive Thinkers” have really annoyed me lately. I have been harassed by a bunch of “Positive People” from Multi-Level-Marketing Schemes (“MLM”).

They are so “Positive” and are all making “So Much Money” – hence, they tried to put lots of pressure for me to join their schemes.  I have noted something incredibly interesting lately.

I know lots of multi-millionaires who are the “Real Thing”.

Yet, compared to these other Con-Artists:

– Absolutely NONE of them are “Positive Thinkers”.

– They are all HARDCORE “Realists”.

– When I have told them about “Positive Thinking” they sneer / laugh at me.

So this is very interesting – I know so many “Poor” people who go around, being “Positive” pretending they are doing very well.  When I suggest to them (even politely) they should look at both side of the equations and be pragmatic, they usually defend their beliefs quite strong and label me as “Negative” or not really understanding “Positive Thinking”.

Now don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that we all need to be in fear of Nuclear Annihilation all the time and incredibly negative.  I am just saying that lately, lots of people who are so positive (near delusional) have really showed me the limitations of the thinking.

One extremely unethnical practice I have noted are some of the Multi-Level Marketing schemes out there.  Now don’t get me wrong, I think some are extremely good and I am not attacking the industry (i.e. I have had very good experiences with NutriMetics & Herbal-Life) – I am talking about some shonky players that I bet you know about!  In actual fact, I think MLM is a good type of model.  But like anything – it can be misused.  My favourite biblical example is in the use of a knife, i.e:

– You can use it to cut bread.

– You can use it to cut someone up.

One thing that I think is so unethical (which in my opinion should be made illegal) is:

– They Get in “Poor People”.

– Sell them “Financial Freedom”, “Fluffy Clouds” and “BS”.

– They attack our Western Society, Our Way of Life and tell you how bad it is.

– Con them into handing over what little Money & Time they have.

– Manipulate them into believing that in 1 – 3 years, they will be millionaires.

One poor person I recently Coached has been completely sucked into these schemes.  They are so “Positive” and because they “Believe” (or more likely have been Conned by their MLM company) in what they are doing – they basically have put their career and life on hold to chase the fluffy clouds.  Don’t you love “Positive Thinking”? Yes – thank you for helping to destroy this person’s life.

That is really bad an unfair! This MLM company doesn’t care about the lives of people it’s damaging, doesn’t tell them clearly what they are up for – and even worse, when this person most likely doesn’t achieve their $10,000+ / Month of Passive Cashflow – they will then blame this person for not “Following the System” or being not “Positive Enough”. To go the next level, I have spoken to many Multi-Millionaries I know about this MLM company – and guess what? They all think it’s a complete rip off.  In fact, one used this exact words to me some years ago:

– It’s an evil company that teaches poor people, to prey on poor people.

When I first heard that, I thought I was a bit extreme – and not very nice.  But it’s really true.  There are some mean people in this world, that just love preying off other people. These companies use “Positive Thinking” as a means of getting people to lower their ability to scrutinize so they can rip them off and take over their lives.  This top trader I know Chris Lori has this great saying “Be Careful, it’s a Jungle out there!” – so true and relevant here I think!
